About KDA
Kalispell Downtown Association
The Kalispell Downtown Association was established in 2005 as a 501c6 membership organization. The purpose of the KDA is to promote Historic Downtown Kalispell as the social, commercial, professional and cultural heart of the community. The organization conducts and promotes activities and events that build a strong local economy and contributes to the well-being, growth and vitality of Downtown Kalispell.
Visitors and residents will find a quaint place featuring specialty retail shops, delectable restaurants, as well as historic architecture and museums. Start your day with a relaxing visit to one of the downtown spas, and then browse through our Downtown District where you will find unique home furnishings, fine jewelry, family fashions and antiques before stopping in one of several restaurants for lunch or dinner.
In addition to our wonderful shops and restaurants, Historic Downtown Kalispell is home to a number of special events throughout the year sponsored by the KDA and other community organizations. In the summer months, enjoy the Farmers' Market every Saturday morning in the west parking area of the Kalispell Center Mall, Tuesday evening and Wednesday noon you can enjoy “Picnic in the Park” at our downtown Depot Park with live music and food vendors. Participate in the Fun at Thursday!Fest, a street festival where you will find live music, artist and craftsmen and a beer and wine garden every Thursday evening June through August. In July enjoy the exciting Art in the Park, sponsored by the Hockaday Museum of Art and the Glacier Rod Rally. August brings “A Taste of Kalispell” and the fall 5K Run Through History in October. All year, walking tour books are available to guide you through our Historic Downtown Architecture. Other events include the holiday parades, the Art Walk on the first Friday in December, New Year’s Eve family fun, non-alcohol First Night celebration and the Chocolate Walk in February.
