Vision Statement:

By creating a beautiful downtown culture, Kalispell will be an attractive, worthy place for the delight of its residents, and the continued success of its entrepreneurs.

Purpose:

To accomplish its vision of creating a vibrant and dynamic business district the BID will:

  • Build effective partnerships with businesses, institutions, property owners and city government to maintain a clean and safe community

  • Attract, retain and promote quality businesses and retail segments to support our local economy

  • Promote Kalispell as a renowned destination point with a business, retail, entertainment and institutional mix offering unique products, services and events

  • Promote Kalispell as the preferred place to shop, work, learn and live

Facade Grant:

The Kalispell Business Improvement District is pleased to introduce to you a great opportunity for property owners in Downtown Kalispell.  In an effort to protect the historical integrity of downtown and improve the overall appearance of downtown, we are offering a Façade Improvement Grant program (FIG) to property owners.

This new program is designed to provide an incentive for private sector improvement of commercial buildings in the Downtown Kalispell Business Improvement District (KBID). The FIG aims to make revitalization efforts affordable by providing matching grant funds up to $5,000. We believe that encouraging new private investment into Historic Downtown Kalispell in the form of fixed asset investment related to exterior building improvements will help in preserving, enhancing and restoring the historical and architectural significance of some buildings downtown.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity please download the full grant application packet above. If you need a paper copy, please contact us at info@downtownkalispell.com or send us a note and we will be pleased to forward the application packet to you.  It is our hope that the FIG will assist in perpetuating a positive and proactive business climate that encourages revitalization of buildings and supports business improvement.
