KALISPELL DOWNTOWN ASSOCIATION
The Kalispell Downtown Association was established in 2005 as a 501c (6) membership organization with a mission to promote and improve the downtown area so that it remains a viable contributing component of the Flathead Valley. The vision of the KDA is to support the economic growth and vitality of Historic Downtown by promoting Downtown Kalispell as the social, commercial, professional and cultural heart of the community.
This is accomplished by promoting our downtown merchants, making sure our downtown looks clean and inviting and creating a collaborative effort to get the correct mix of businesses that will complement each other and make every business in our downtown successful. All of this takes incredible hard work and financial resources.
The Kalispell Downtown Association Board of Directors is elected by the membership and oversees the activities, events and finances of the organization. The revenue for the KDA comes from annual membership dues and event proceeds.
All member businesses are encouraged to communicate with us regarding specials, events or items of interest from your business so that we can highlight them on our Facebook page and consider placing the information on our website; www.downtownkalispell.com.
Visitors and residents will find a quaint downtown featuring specialty retail shops as well as restaurants and museums, all amid historic architecture. In addition to our wonderful shops and restaurants, Historic Downtown Kalispell is home to a number of special events throughout the year sponsored by the KDA and other community businesses and organizations.
Annual KDA special events include: Frosty the Brewfest in January each year, The Chocolate Affair held the first Friday in February, Ladies Night in the spring of each year, The Taste of Kalispell in June and Thursday!Fest June through August.
Additionally, The Kalispell Downtown Association offers:
The wooden coin program where participating businesses display the wooden coin sign in their front window. When presented with a wooden coin during a purchase of $25.00 or more the purchase is discounted $5.00 by the business.
Downtown retail gift certificates are available for purchase and may be used at any participating Downtown Kalispell retailer or restaurant (excluding national chain stores). When gift certificates are utilized as part of a purchase, the business will be reimbursed by the Kalispell Downtown Association for the amount of the certificate or the actual amount of the purchase if less than the value of the gift certificate.
