We are a local land trust founded in 1985 by a group of forward-thinking community members interested in maintaining the Flathead Valley's natural beauty, clean water, and special places that sustain our high quality of life. In 1988, Flathead Land Trust received its first donated conservation easement from Alice Sowerwine. It's a wonderful 157-acre parcel located on Fennon Slough in Lower Valley and a perfect beginning to our important work in the Flathead Valley.
